THE BOARD IN TURKANA COUNTY FOR A SERIES OF SENSITIZATION EXERCISES
The Judges and Magistrates Vetting Board is on a week-long sensitization exercise in Turkana County. Today, 22nd July, 2015, The Board held a sensitization/training for Media and Civil Society Organizations based in Turkana County. The training was held at Ann Nanjala Resource Centre in Lodwar. During the training, the Board’s vice chair, Ms. Roseline Odede took the participants through the vetting process as conceptualized by the vetting Board. Board member Justus Munyithya elaborated on the Records and Documentation processes of the Board. The participants raised a lot of questions and suggestions on the judges and magistrates vetting process for the Board’s consideration. Some of the participants submitted complaints to the Board through one of the Board’s Assisting Counsel Mrs. Mary-karen Sorobit who was present at the session.
