The Board is participating in this year’s Mombasa International Show which officially opens its doors to the public tomorrow, Wednesday, 26th August, 2015 at the Jomo Kenyatta grounds in Mombasa County.
We will be displaying and making presentations on our work and specifically the Judges and Magistrates vetting process as conceptualized by the Board at our stand which is located next to the “GATE B” at the show ground.
This year’s exhibition show which is scheduled to run for five days until 30th August, 2015, provides the Board with a great opportunity to meet and interact with the public from the coastal region amongst other show goers who will be attending the event.
The Board has laid out its work in various steps for the public to be able to appreciate, interrogate and contribute to the various aspects of vetting of Judges and Magistrates process in Kenya.
We have set out a table where we will be introducing the Board’s composition, mandate and vision. We also have a section dedicated to elaborating the vetting process followed by the interpretation of this year’s Mombasa International Show theme; “Enhancing Technology in Agriculture and Industry for Food Security and National Growth”
We shall also be demonstrating how the Board has undertaken public participation and engaged the public in the vetting of Judges and Magistrates. The Board has also endeavoured to undertake Corporate Social Responsibility activities which we shall be showcasing to the public at the exhibition as well as our deliberate efforts to embrace the diversity of the Kenyan people.
Visitors or persons who may have complaints and or complements about judicial officers set to be vetted will have an opportunity to present them at a special section. Finally, we shall have a gift pack for visitors to carry home. Welcome!
